There are a lot of decisions that go into a stone project, and sometimes it can be hard to know what happens after you pick your slab. What gets measured? When does fabrication happen? When do you actually find out when installation will be?
At Ultimate Granite & Stone, we believe the experience matters just as much as the finished surface. That is why we created a proven process that takes you from the first conversation all the way through installation and beyond.
Here is what that experience looks like…
IT STARTS WITH A CONVERSATION
Before we talk about slabs, we want to understand you and your project.
We start by learning what you are working on, what you need, and what you are hoping to accomplish. This is where we gather drawings, plans, inspiration, and other project details that help us understand the full picture.
From there, we can provide a preliminary quote based on the information available and help you determine the next steps, including scheduling your showroom visit.
It is not about walking in and immediately picking a countertop. It is about starting with the right information so we can actually help you make informed decisions.
YOUR SHOWROOM VISIT SHOULD FEEL LIKE AN EXPERIENCE
Once we understand the project, it is time to see the possibilities in person.
This is where we take a deeper dive into your vision, design preferences, and the materials that could work for your space. You can explore our different stones and see the full slabs and samples for yourself.
And this is where things often start to click.
You can see how the color changes in different areas of a slab. You can look at the movement up close. You can compare materials side by side instead of trying to make a decision from a small screen or sample.
Once the material and project details are finalized, we provide a detailed final quote so you know exactly what you are moving forward with.
THEN WE MAKE IT OFFICIAL
Once you are ready to move forward, we take care of the next steps to get your project into production.
This includes signing the contract, collecting the 50% deposit, establishing a tentative project timeline, and beginning material procurement.
This stage is important because it gives everyone a clear understanding of what comes next. You are not left wondering whether your project is moving forward or what is happening behind the scenes.
There is a plan, and we keep you informed as that plan develops.
PRECISION STARTS WITH THE MEASUREMENTS
Once the project is ready for measurements, we either visit the site to take precise digital measurements or create a CAD drawing using dimensions provided to us, depending on the project.
From there, we create the digital template and, when needed, renderings that show how the material will be laid out.
This is especially important for materials with significant movement or veining. We can carefully plan how the stone will flow across an island, backsplash, waterfall, or other areas of the project before anything is cut.
You then have the opportunity to review and approve the final template and rendering before fabrication begins.
Once everything is approved, we can finalize the project schedule and move into fabrication.
THIS IS WHERE THE CRAFTSMANSHIP HAPPENS
A lot of the work that goes into a countertop is never seen by the homeowner.
After the layout is approved, your project moves into programming and CNC cutting. From there, our team combines advanced technology with skilled hand fabrication and polishing to bring the design to life.
Throughout the process, quality control is built into each stage.
Technology helps us achieve precision, but craftsmanship is what brings all those details together. The goal is not simply to cut a piece of stone to fit. It is to create a finished surface that looks intentional, polished, and right for the space.
FINAL THOUGHTS
Finally, it is time to see everything come together.
Depending on your project, we coordinate installation, pick-up, or delivery. Once your stone is in place, we also provide a care kit to help you maintain your new surface.
